The Third Moscow International Arts Festival called “Traditions and Contemporary World”, organized by the Moscow Culture Support and Modern Art Development Foundation, was held in the “Manege” Central Exhibition Hall from the 18th to 22nd of June.
The main idea of the festival was to unite, within the framework of a single exhibition event, presentation of the art of various countries and peoples, reflecting both their national traditions and modern culture. Various trends in art, including painting, sculpture, photography, etc., were represented at the exhibition.
The festival organizing committee, in honor of The Year of Equal Opportunities held in Moscow, included the works of handicapped people in the contest program. Within the frame of this project the pupils of the “Inva-Academia” Social Rehabilitation Center, the curator of which is the “First Republic Bank”, became laureates of the festival presenting at the exhibition their creative works, icons among them. They were also invited to take part in other exhibitions.
The “First Republic Bank”, jointly with the “Inva-Academia” SRC, has for a long time been implementing the program of rehabilitation of handicapped people, rendering assistance to the Social Rehabilitation Center.
Thanks to their joint efforts, handicapped children obtain their right to labor, education and creative work, the chance to realize their potential, occupy their place in life and find a family. |
